I'm more than a blurb on a page.

You can learn a lot about a person by his actions and associations. So, here's a snapshot of my life:

- I've played the trumpet since 1982 and am pretty good.
- I'm an Eagle Scout with palms.
- I was a member of the National Honor Society in HS and Psi Chi National Honor Society in college
- I graduated from Penn State and am a lifetime member of the Alumni Association and a season ticket holder.
- I've been a family therapist, teacher, manager and now data analyst as careers.
- I have an expert rating for rifle shooting from the NRA.
- I'm a Eucharistic Minister in the Episcopal Church.
- I was the State Commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
- I am the Secretary and a Past Master of my Masonic Lodge.
- I am a Past Grand of my Odd Fellow Lodge.
- I am currently the head of five fraternal & service organizations.
- I am a Fire Police Officer.
- I was a write-in candidate for Mayor of my town in 2005, but lost by 14 votes to the incumbent.
- I am a candidate for Mayor of my town in 2009.
- I am restoring a home built in 1900.
- I participate in Civil War Re-enacting as a Confederate soldier.
- I have been a breeder of AKC registered Labrador Retrievers.
- I've published research in a scientific journal and poetry in a literary magazine.
- I was a volunteer firefighter.
- I have been a hunter with a bow, shotgun and rifle.
- I was a certified lifeguard.
- I am a certified Geographic Information Systems Professional.
- I am certified in FEMA disaster management.
- I voted for the first time when I was 18 and have never missed an election.
- I believe my best days are still ahead of me.

Politically, I believe that the 9th and 10th amendments were added specifically to curtail the expansion of government that the ambiguity of "and all laws necessary and proper" allowed. I believe that the 14th amendment prohibits institutional discrimination, but not individual free expression. I believe that Reagan was right when he said "government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem." I believe that the 1st amendment protects all speech and all expressions of religion, but does not create a complete separation of God and state. I believe that the 2nd amendment is there to keep the arsenal of liberty in the hands of the people. I believe that Wilson was right when he said that "the history of liberty is the history of the limitation of government power." I believe that the Constitution should be amended according to the law, by the will of the states and the people and not through back-door redefinition by the federal courts.
